GAS DETECTION EQUIPMENT

Acme Engineering was founded as a manufacturer's representative firm in 1956 and began large-scale production of its own Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment in 1963. Our gas detection equipment was launched in the early 1970’s and we have been manufacturing automatic strainers since the mid 1980’s.

Acme’s gas detection equipment offers complete ventilation control and personnel protection for enclosed parking garages, truck loading docks, bus terminals, vehicle maintenance facilities, plane hangars, warehouses, offices, theatres and variable occupancy spaces.

Existing gas detection equipment replacement: Acme has a wide variety of control panel designs available that can be useful for retrofit applications where a complete re-wiring would prove uneconomical. We can do three and four-wire daisy chain or home-run wiring for sensor layouts, and modern pneumatic sampling systems to cover most existing location requirements. Ask one of our local manufacturer’s representatives to visit your site to evaluate your options.

All gas detection equipment shall be interconnected at the factory and shipped factory calibrated after a 7-day operational test. The logic of the system shall be factory tested by simulated field conditions as specified. A report shall be furnished with the gas detection equipment.

Provide in CEL Control Panel a battery back up to maintain the gas detection equipment in operation during a power failure. A compact rechargeable battery shall be used because of the reduced power requirement of the CEL system. The gas detection equipment shall be run for one week at the factory fully operational on simulator prior to shipment to the field. Records of testing shall be submitted to the engineers.
