RESIDENTIAL ELEVATOR
Savaria recently launched the "Ultimo" Residential Elevator, making
Savaria has brought a total of nine products to the market, all of
which are submitted to, and meet the requirements of Canadian Standards Association ("CSA") or American Society of Mechanical Engineers
("ASME").
Sizes: The residential elevator is offered in 3 standard sizes, but can
be customized to just about any size. A standard interior ceiling
height of 84" (2134 mm) is offered with an option to extend it to 96"
(2438 mm). For ease of installation and service, all panels are
assembled within the cab. Its floor is available unfinished and can be
carpeted, tiled or covered with hardwood to the owner's tastes and
desires.
Safety Features and Special Characteristics: The Ultimo residential
elevator is designed for a rated load of 1000 lbs (454 kg). It has a
2:1 cable hydraulic system and has many security features such as
secure door locks and safety brakes on the car. No separate machine
room is required as its submerged motor-pump and controller are located
inside the hoistway. Furthermore, its new modular design provides a
large distance between the guide rails (DBG), assuring a great
stability for the cab, which requires only a 6 in. (153 mm) pit.
